![]() Batteries, nutty professors and robots all stomped down Lower Marsh as part of the 2011 Waterloo Carnival. This year’s event took place on Friday, July 15 and saw more than 300 people take part. The parade followed its traditional route before Vauxhall MP Kate Hoey gave a speech in Millennium Green. Celebrations then went on into the night at Cubana and the Walrus Social. Helen Santer, Waterloo Quarter BID’s director of operations, said: “Once again the children did us proud with a range of terrific costumes. It was also great to see so many local businesses come out in force to support the children and make it such a memorable occasion."
