| Love Your Lunchbreak |
WOULD you like to learn to speak Spanish or dance or have a head massage for FREE in your lunchbreak? Well now you can thanks to Waterloo Quarter’s Packed Lunch project. The BID has finalised its plan of activities for the next 12 months, and wants as many local employees as possible to sign up to enjoy them. All of the sessions take place in Waterloo and are designed to fit into a one hour lunchbreak. Of the free activities, highlights include five taster sessions of classes at Morley College in a row (creative writing, Latin percussion, portrait painting, salsa and Spanish lessons), head massages at your desk and bike maintenance lessons. Subsidised activities include pilates at £3 a session, fitness boot camp classes at Soho Gyms, and a mixed five-a-side football tournament. There is also an opportunity to get involved in the Waterloo Carnival through an arts project. Packed Lunch activities have been financed by the Department of Work & Pensions and are available to employees of businesses with less than 250 staff that are based within the BID area.
