Music on the Green Concerts End

Blissful summer tunes, mellow blues and a few folk strains were all heard in Waterloo during the BID’s Music on the Green series.

Businesses asked the BID to arrange a series of music events in and around Millennium Green in order to help promote the area.

We picked out three Thursdays in a row, where we commissioned talented acts to perform for Waterloo workers during their lunchbreaks.

The first gig on August 19 saw duo Husky George go barefoot to strum out a mixture of covers and original material in the green, which lies opposite the Old Vic.

On Thursday, August 26, eclectic band Candythief defied the clouds to serenade workers passing by the car park in Cubana.

The music series ended on September 2, with performances from Noemie Ducimetiere and The Stillhouse Orchestra.
