Jungle themed Waterloo Carnival

Excitement is building ahead of this year’s Waterloo Carnival, which will follow a Jungle Fun theme.

The event will be held on Friday, July 16 and will see more than 250 local performers of all ages parading through Lower Marsh from 1.30pm.

The performers will show off their colourful costumes as they head to Millenium Green for the parade finale.

Local businesses will also get involved with a range of activities, and the fun will continue into the evening.

How can you get involved?

  1. Offer to display a poster in your premises or distribute leaflets to your friends and colleagues
  2. How about theming your window display around this year’s Jungle Theme?
  3. Visit Timberlina for a make-and-do art session on Millennium Green on 13 July
  4. Volunteer to get involved in the procession – still a few costumes available!
  5. Become our fan on Facebook – search ‘Waterloo Carnival’
  6. Check out the website www.waterloocarnival.org and say hi to the cheeky monkey
  7. Come and watch on the day and give your support to the children and other performers

Soft Road Closure

There will be a soft road closure on Lower Marsh on 16th July between 12.30pm and 6.00pm. Access will be maintained for vehicles throughout the day. However, you may wish to warn any delivery vehicles to avoid the street between 1.30-2.00pm when the procession will be in full flow.
