| London Children’s Bookswap |
On Saturday, February 25th, 2012, a number of venues around London will be running a London Children’s Bookswap day. Supported by Mayor Boris Johnson, the day aims to help children learn to love books and get reading. The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE) is proud to be hosting a Bookswap for local families in their Children’s Library in Webber Street from 10am to 2pm. There will be a large selection of books for adults and children to swap with one of their own. Even if you haven’t got a book you wish to swap, you are welcome to come along and pick one up for free. There will also be a storyteller and activities for children to participate in on the day. To make sure than no child goes home without a book, CLPE would be delighted to receive any donations of used children’s books. And to make it a truly family day, adult books would also be welcome. You can donate your books using book bins from 12 January at the following locations: For more information about the event, see www.clpe.co.uk or contact 020 7401 3382.
