FAQs
The Scheme

How quickly can I sign up to the scheme?
As long as you don't need bins or cages you can sign up to the scheme up to 2 working days in advance of the weekly collection. If you require bins or cages you will need to allow a 5 day lead in time for these to be delivered.

What about my existing contract?
If you have an existing recycling contract you will need to contact your supplier and amend or cancel it. If your existing contract is with Paper Round you must still contact them to amend your previous contract.

Collections

Where do I leave my recycling?
Recycling must be left on the kerb outside the front of property unless otherwise specified and confirmed with Waterloo Quarter and Paper Round. There must be vehicle access to where you leave your collection.

When do I leave out my recycling?
For paper & cardboard, plastic bottles & cans and small glass collections, recycling must be left outside at 3.00pm on Tuesdays to guarantee collection.

For general waste collections, sacks must out on the kerb ready for collection between 6am and 8am.

Can I leave out my recycling earlier?
Any recycling left out on the street before 3pm or after 5pm on Tuesdays will not be collected and will be eligible for a penalty notice. Waterloo Quarter cannot take responsibility for recycling left on the street outside of the designated time period.

What if I miss a collection?
If you miss a collection you must take your waste back onto the premises and wait until the next week's collection. Do not leave your bags out outside of the collection window as you may be eligible for a penalty notice.

Bags

What can I put in the bags?
Please visit the What can I recycle? page for details of what can and can't be collected.

If my recycling is left out in a non Waterloo Quarter bag will it be collected?
No. Paper Round will only collect recycling in Waterloo Quarter branded bags, crates, bins or card bundled and secured with Waterloo Quarter branded tape.

How do I order more bags and tape?
To order more bags and tape contact Paper Round on 020 7407 9100 or email bookings@paper-round.co.uk. Please state ‘Waterloo Quarter' when making all orders to ensure you receive the correctly branded bags and tape.

You will also need to provide:

  1. Company name
  2. Full address
  3. Contact name
  4. How many sacks / rolls of tape needed

Bags and tape will be delivered by the collection vehicle or posted out, so please allow two weeks for ordering replacements. Replacement bags and tape can be collected in person from Paper Round's premises at:

52 Lant Street
London
SE1 1RB

Bins and Cages

What are these and do I need them?
If you have a large amount of recycling waste, you may need a wheeled bin and/or cage. However, please note that you must have an area where these can be stored. There must also be space on-street for these during collections in an area approved by the council. Please get in touch with us if you think you will need these.

Do I still need to tape up the card if I am leaving it in a cage?
Yes. You must have some tape visible on the card so that Paper Round can recognise that it is for a Waterloo Quarter collection. If Paper Round cannot see any Waterloo Quarter branding the cardboard will not be collected.

Waterloo Quarter reserves the right to remove your business from the scheme at any point in cases of breaches of the above conditions.
