Radiolink

Discussions at the Licensing Forum highlighted a need for the local licensed premises to be able to communicate both with each other and with the Police. Using football hooliganism and anti-social behaviour as examples, several of the pubs and bars expressed interest in being able to warn or be warned if well-known trouble-makers were in the area. The BID is therefore looking into options regarding creating a Radiolink scheme to enable landlords to contact each other as well as being able to communicate with Police when an immediate response is required. Results from a pilot scheme set up in October 2009 are to be assessed shortly with a view to rolling the service out to other businesses in the New Year.
