In partnership with Lambeth Council, the BID has initiated a competitive tender to enlist the services of a commercial market operator to take on the management of Lower Marsh market. The historic street market has been in decline over recent years, with only 12 of the 77 available pitches being occupied by permanent traders. As a result, it was decided that the management of the day to day running of the market should be outsourced to a professional market operator to help to drive the market forward and re-establish it at the heart of the commercial area.
