Legible London

Waterloo Quarter is continuing to work with TfL and local partners on the Legible London scheme – a new way-finding system being introduced in central London, for which Southbank and Bankside is being used as a pilot. The scheme introduces new standardised, easy to read signage, maps and finger posts, to help enable pedestrians to navigate their way around London, and in turn locate businesses.

The BID has lobbied with leading partners to extend the pilot to cover Waterloo and has provided funding for some of the signs within the extension area. It is hoped that the scheme will be rolled out to cover the full BID area following its review in July 2010.

The signs have now begun appearing in the area. Look out for more arriving over the next few months.
