The Waterloo Quarter BID area is home to a number of charities, large and small, supporting causes ranging from child welfare to international aid. Each of these organisations has a need for volunteers or supporters to participate in their activities, be it through taking on individual challenges such as sponsored abseils and fun-runs, or offering one-off career talks or hosting structured work placements.
Whether your business has a structured CSR strategy with targets, or whether you’re simply looking for challenges for your staff to participate in, the BID can help, matching you with relevant charities and informing you of local activities. The BID will shortly form a new steering group to develop a community engagement programme for local businesses and to help members develop their CSR programmes. The steering group launch follows the BID's successful Business In The Big Top initiative, which paired four local businesses and four local charities together for a fundraising challenge.
