The installation date for decorative tree lights in two trees on Kennington Road has now been confirmed as taking place w/c 10th December, to enable the lights to be put up before Christmas. The two locations are the large London plane trees outside Cam Pharmacy and Art in Hair.
The project has been instigated following concerns raised by local retailers about the poor lighting along Kennington Road, which is not currently attracting potential customers to the street.
Further locations have been identified in the BID area for decorative tree lights, in particular at the end of Baylis Road. Installation of these are planned for 2008.
