Following its success in 2007, the Waterloo Quarter Summer Series returns next week, taking place every Wednesday in June in Emma Cons Gardens opposite the Old Vic. The Series will include a food and drink stall sponsored by a local bar/restaurant and feature entertainment from a range of musicians and performers.
The schedule for the Summer Series 2008 is as follows: All events run from 5-7pm.
- 4th June – Performance from Gamelan orchestra with food and drink by Thai Silk
- 11th June – The Gardens become Waterloo beach with steel pan band, Big Sand, and cocktails supplied by The Walrus
- 18th June – Performances from flamenco dancers, a Spanish guitarist and singers with food and wine supplied by Meson don Felipe
- 25th June – Cuban band La Cuba Ritmo with Cuban food, cocktails and smoothies from Cubana

The aim of the Summer Series is to encourage local workers and commuters to stay in the area and enjoy Waterloo, rather than sprinting to the station at the end of the day. If you would like to receive publicity materials for the events to display in your businesses, please let us know at
