12pm – 6pm – Munchkinland, eastern end of Lower Marsh - music stage outside Cubana, special market stalls, street performers and Mini Munchkin museums
1.30 – 2pm – Carnival Procession featuring over 300 performers, along the length of Lower Marsh, down Westminster Bridge Road and Baylis Road, finishing on Millennium Green
1pm – 5pm – Witches & Munchkins Family Friendly Zone, Millennium Green - mini-Munchkins play area, Witches Tea Party, kids disco and music performances
6pm – 10pm - The Emerald City, western end of Lower Marsh - ‘If I only had a brain’ pub quiz;cabaret stage hosted by Timberlina, The Emerald Queen; surf band and other music performances.
10pm onwards - The festivities continue at The Walrus, Scooterworks and Camel & Artichoke on Lower Marsh with further music and entertainment.
There are opportunities for all shops and businesses to get involved in the day, including market stalls and volunteering opportunities.
There will be a full road closure on Lower Marsh to allow for the on-street activity and ensure pedestrian safety, however, this will mean limited access for businesses and parking. The final preparations for this year’s Waterloo Carnival are now being put in place. The Carnival is taking place on Friday 11th July and is set to be the biggest yet with an array of activities performances taking place. To recap, the programme is as follows:
