Saturday 8th December will see the launch of a new farmers’ market on Lower Marsh. The market will offer a range of food and produce from seasonal vegetables and organic meats, to cheeses, chutneys, bread and cakes; all produced within a 100 mile radius of the M25.

 

Organised by Green Artisan, with support from WQBA, the aim is to give a boost to Lower Marsh market and the street as a whole. If successful, the farmers’ market could become a regular feature on the street. Waterloo Quarter is working with Lambeth Council to enable visiting markets to operate on a regular weekly basis in the street and to agree a clear policy for dealing with market operators.

 

The market’s launch on the 8th will have a Christmas twist, with live entertainment from a brass band and a variety of Christmas goods on sale. For more information visit  www.green-artisan.org.uk.
