From 15th June, a road closure will be required on Lower Marsh opposite the junction to Leake Street to carry out works to the water main beneath this section of the street.

During this period, the intention is to keep both pavements fully open.

Whilst the closure is in place traffic flow will be as follows:

Eastern end of Lower Marsh (between Waterloo Road and Frasier Street) - will remain one-way as usual.

Between Frasier Street and the closure of Leake Street - two-way traffic to allow for access and deliveries.

Between closure at Leake Street and Westminster Bridge Road - two-way traffic to allow for access and deliveries

Overall programme dates

It is not possible for Morrisons (Thames Water's contractors) to give a clear indication of how long the road closure will be in place until the excavation works have started, but it is anticipated that the works in Lower Marsh will be completed by early August 2008.

Update prepared in association with Morrisons Plc
