Waterloo Quarter is inviting all BID charities to apply to become part of its 2008 Charity of the Year Programme. The Charity of the Year will work alongside Waterloo Quarter from September 2008 until September 2009, to deliver a range of activities with an aim to develop a strong awareness of the charity amongst local businesses and their employees.

 

The successful applicant will benefit from:

 

• Effective links to local businesses and staff

• Support with local event and activity organisation

• Promotion through a variety of material, including our website www.waterlooquarter.org, monthly newsletter and e-bulletin, and Waterloo Quarter events.

 

Last year saw the first partnership between Waterloo Quarter and the children’s charity Children’s Country Holiday Fund, who benefited by hosting a local networking event and a popular fund-raising pub quiz series for local staff at a variety of venues in the area.
