Waterloo Quarter BID is encouraging local businesses and their employees to give a little bit back to their community as part of a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project.

The BID is planning a second team challenge for businesses following the success of last year’s Business In The Big Top market event, which raised more than £1,000 for local good causes.

This year’s task will see teams of volunteers asked to gather Christmas pledges for good work to be carried out on behalf of Waterloo charities.

The teams will be made up of representatives from local businesses and charities.

It is hoped the project will lead to longer term bonds between local companies and charities and will build on Waterloo’s existing community spirit.

The BID will also work to publicise those companies which take part in the scheme.
