WATERLOO station is undergoing refurbishment work in a bid to improve passenger flows.

In the last month workers from BAM Construction have removed retail units on the concourse and conducted site surveys.

Over the next two months they will lay flooring where the units have been removed and will undertake preparatory work for the installation of a new escalator which will improve links between Waterloo East and Waterloo.

The station’s first floor offices will also be converted into new retail space before the completion of the project in Summer 2012.
