What do you like most about Waterloo? “It’s a cosmopolitan area. You get a real assortment of people here.”

What is the secret of a successful business? “You need to have reasonable prices and good service. I believe in giving value for money.”

How many haircuts have you given in Waterloo? “I have worked it out to be more than 250,000.”

When is the best time of year for the business? “In spring and summer our trade goes up by about 20 per cent.”

Tell us a little known fact about the business: “My shop has appeared on BBC3, London Today and Channel 4 twice. Film crews like the shop because it’s so traditional.”
