WATERLOO Quarter BID has joined forces with fellow BIDs Better Bankside and Team London Bridge to launch a new employment initiative.

Employ SE1 is also supported by Southwark Council and Southwark Works and aims to help businesses recruit locally via a dedicated website and a register of recruitment agencies.

Nigel Guy (pictured) at The Bridge Lounge has already filled two chef roles, plus bar staff positions using this process.

He said: “Overall the experience was a positive one, it saved me both time and money going via local job brokers and the Job Centre. Now I know it can work, I would use both of them again.”

A launch event will take place from 8.30am to 10am at the Hilton London Tower Bridge, 5 More London Place, Tooley Street, London SE1 2BY on Friday, January 21st.
