All Lit Up - The BID Buys Festive Lights

WATERLOO looks like a winter wonderland thanks to the purchase of new Christmas lights by Waterloo Quarter BID.

The BID had already bought new lights in 2008 for Blackfriars Road, The Cut and the northern section of Waterloo Road before it purchased brand new lights for Lower Marsh and Kennington Road this Christmas.

The new lights were bought following consultation with local businesses about the type of illuminations they would like to see.

This year’s display has also been extended along the whole length of Waterloo Road, and two Christmas trees have been bought and displayed outside Waterloo Action Centre and on Emma Cons Gardens opposite the Old Vic.
