| Bumper Turnout At Annual Party |
Waterloo’s new H10 hotel provided the ideal backdrop to the BID’s annual party on Thursday, November 4. The Waterloo Road venue played host to more than 60 representatives from the area’s business community. Filmmakers merged with designers, retailers and property experts while council representatives and university workers debated the state of the economy. The event was the latest in a series of networking opportunities provided by the BID to enable businesses to build relationships with their neighbours. It also provided an ideal opportunity to circulate the BID’s renewal proposal, produced ahead of the run up to February’s ballot. Speakers at the event included Small Back Room owner and Waterloo Quarter BID chairman John Rushton and board members Phillip Oppenheim (Cubana), Ian Clark (Metro Safety) and Rebecca Rivers (Waterloo Body Station). The BID’s Event Manager Jessica Hill said: “We would like to thank everyone for coming and for making the evening so memorable.”
