Businesses from across Waterloo have already pledged their support to the BID’s campaign for a five year renewal.

The BID’s renewal proposal, which can be found here includes endorsements from several local businesspeople, who will all be voting to extend the BID beyond March 31 2011.

They have been convinced of the merits of the BID because of its success in introducing cost saving collections, area promotions, campaigning for parking improvements and in improving links between local organisations.

Martyn Carney, co-owner of Arena Hair in Lower Marsh, said: “Before the BID there were lots of businesses shouting in different directions. Now we have a collective voice. That's why we'll be voting yes."
