Circus Themed Charity Initiative

Have you got a business brain you can take to the big top?

Waterloo Quarter BID wants you to think of all of the fun of the circus as part of a new scheme to link businesses and charities.

The Waterloo Apprentice will pair employees from both sectors to create teams as part of a fundraising challenge.

Each team will be given a small budget to decorate a market stall with props - and will then be challenged to raise as much money as possible at a Circus themed lunchtime event.

Thanks to a great volunteering offer from local film production company Spectrecom, the whole project - including planning, sourcing and fundraising - will be captured on video camera for posterity.

The film will be shown at a special screening event which will also feature evictions and prizes for the best and worst teams.

The event will also mark the launch of Waterloo Quarter BID's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme for the coming year.

Businesses will benefit from the team engagement element of the project, and will be given an edited film which they can show clients to demonstrate their community engagement credentials.

Charities will also see their profile raised locally.
