Many of you have been telling us you would like to see Waterloo Quarter BID introduce a new food recycling scheme.

Because of your interest, we are planning to introduce a six month pilot which will see businesses benefit from collections of raw and cooked food scraps.

We plan to involve 10 BID businesses in the pilot; five of which will be offices with canteen areas and five of which will be food vending premises such as bars, cafes or restaurants.

If the pilot proves successful, value for money and has a demonstrable environmental benefit we will look at rolling the scheme out further.

The pilot will be financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
