A series of bicycle sessions have been organised for employees in the Business Improvement District. Aimed at getting people more active, Waterloo Quarter BID encouraged local workers to hand over their bicycles for a safety check to ensure their vehicle was roadworthy.
The London Bicycle Repair Shop, based on Hatfields, looked over 29 bikes over the course of four days. Each bike was checked to ensure it was working properly and was safe to ride. This included making all necessary adjustments and checks and replacing small parts like brake blocks and cables for free.
A free cycle maintenance training session was also held for those who were interested in learning how to fix their bikes themselves. The interactive session looked at a range of topics from realigning chains to fixing a puncture. More of these sessions will be held throughout the year for local employees. Please email info@waterlooquarter.org if you would like to find out when these will take place.
