Despite the recession, and in fact perhaps because of it, there seems to be increase in interest in human happiness and wellbeing. People and organizations are questioning whether happiness and engagement at work are increased by having more money or whether there are other activities, which help us find meaning and fun. ![]() Andy Roberts from Breathe London is an associate member of the Waterloo Quarter business community and was amongst the first group in Europe to receive a Masters degree in Positive Psychology. He combines his former career as a corporate financier with business psychology and has set up a wellbeing business here in Waterloo called Breathe-London. “The idea was to create a wellbeing centre in the heart of London which addresses both the physical and psychological needs of the business and local community. We thought it was a nice idea to create a healing space which is also a centre for learning.” On the physical therapies side, its team of nine therapists offer Sports & Deep Tissue Massage, Osteopathy and affordable Acupuncture. They also run wellbeing events for local companies covering both physical and psychological aspects of wellbeing. Over the next few months Breathe is running a series of 90 minute taster Positive Psychology workshops for up to 15 people for just £150. Can you train your mind to be happier?
