Launch of the 'Packed Lunch' programme

Invitations have been sent to businesses to attend our forthcoming launch of the ‘Packed Lunch’ programme. The lunchtime event is taking place on Friday 21st May at The Old Vic theatre and will feature an opportunity to find out more about the activities being organised for local employees, as well as a chance to try out a free head massage!

Waterloo Quarter BID successfully secured funding from the Department for Work & Pensions to provide a variety of activities to improve the work-life balance of employees of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the area. The programme includes the following lunchtime activities:

  • Group running training
  • Cycle maintenance and training
  • Pilates
  • Computer-users massage
  • Art sessions on Millennium Green
  • Table-football tournament

The first cycle maintenance sessions took place from 4-7th May with 40 local employees making the most of the opportunity to receive a free service for their bicycle. Services were carried out by London Bicycle Repair Shop based on Hatfields, Waterloo -  www.londonbicycle.com.
