Areas such as Camden Town have recently demonstrated the success of the 'pop-up-shop' concept to deal with the negative impacts of vacant shops in the area. The concept is even going mainstream, as seen in Marmite's recent pop-up shop on Regent Street. Landlords offer short-term opportunities, often to creative businesses, at discounted rates to trial a business idea or simply add a short term splash of colour and life to a street.
