Waterloo Quarter has been awarded a grant of £48,532 from the Department for Work and Pensions over 18 months to deliver a programme of activities for local employees to improve their work-life balance. We understand that the London fund was heavily over-subscribed, so are delighted that our application was successful. ![]()
Waterloo Quarter BID submitted a joint application with Symbian Foundation, Berkeley Residential Management and First Protocol for the Health Work and Well-being Challenge Fund launched by the Government's Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
A group was convened before Christmas specifically for the purposes of developing a programme of activity to promote better work-life balance amongst their employees and other member businesses of Waterloo Quarter. The ‘Packed Lunch’ project was developed, which includes a range of lunchtime activities for local employees aimed at getting them out of their place of work and enjoying the area in which they work. Look out for more information on this initiative in the coming months.
