Waterloo Quarter has been awarded a grant of £48,532 from the Department for Work and Pensions over 18 months to deliver a programme of activities for local employees to improve their work-life balance. We understand that the London fund was heavily over-subscribed, so are delighted that our application was successful. 
Waterloo Quarter BID submitted a joint application with Symbian Foundation, Berkeley Residential Management and First Protocol for the Health Work and Well-being Challenge Fund launched by the Government's Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
A group was convened before Christmas specifically for the purposes of developing a programme of activity to promote better work-life balance amongst their employees and other member businesses of Waterloo Quarter. The ‘Packed Lunch’ project was developed,which includes a range of lunchtime activities for local employees aimed at getting them out of their place of work and enjoying the area in which they work.
