Alongside the opening of the ‘forest’, Waterloo Quarter’s annual Christmas event was held on the 3rd December in Emma Cons Gardens turning the gardens into a hive of activity. Ten local businesses took on a stall to contribute to the event, including Bankside Open Spaces Trust, EV, I Knit London, Trees for Cities, The Oasis, Wedge Card, Waterloo Body Station, S-Squared Eye Care, Fairbridge and Cubana.

Our partner charity for the event this year was Fairbridge who work with young people aged 13-25 to help them build confidence and turn their lives around. They organised the band and choir made up of volunteers from the BBC to entertain the passers by and attendees.
