Sponsor a Tree this Christmas

Waterloo Quarter BID has applied to install a festive garden in Emma Cons Gardens, opposite The Old Vic theatre. ‘Forest’ will involve the planting of 25 Pencil Cypress trees in a grid formation into the Gardens. The trees will be enclosed by mirrors giving passers-through the space the impression of being inside an endless forest. For Christmas the Forest will be transformed into a magical grotto, and serve as the centrepiece for both local and Waterloo Quarter festive celebrations.

Would you like to raise business profile and sponsor a tree for £150 (inc VAT)? This will include your business name on a panel on the exhibit and promotional webpage. The installation will be in position for an eight-week period throughout December 2009 and January 2010, subject to receipt of planning permission.

The installation aims to create the effect of being in a forest whilst in the urban setting of Waterloo, whilst publicising current threats of resource depletion and deforestation, highlighting our use of resources, particularly paper.

If you are interested in sponsoring a tree or would like more information please contact us at info@waterlooquarter.org, or call 020 7620 1201.
