The changes involve the following:

 

• provision of 30 minutes FREE customer parking along the full length of Lower Marsh. The parking bays would become dual-use, with parking available either for existing permit holders or for customers if bays are free

 

• provision of Pay & Display parking in the car park outside Cubana and on Upper Marsh for visitors requiring longer than 30 minutes

 

• parking restrictions to end at 1.00pm on Saturdays

 

The proposals have been widely consulted on by Waterloo Quarter and have received widespread support from local businesses and residents. There was previously no customer parking on Lower Marsh and the changes are planned to support local businesses and residents through provision of flexible short-stay bays.
