Four organisations in the Waterloo Quarter have recently been awarded a Southwark Council environmental business award in recognition of their efforts to reduce their environmental impact and save money. Nebulas Solutions, Fresh Cut, The Fostering Network and the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education all recycle a wide range of materials through the Waterloo Quarter recycling scheme and have implemented simple steps to reduce their waste such as cutting back on printing.

In addition to these measures, The Fostering Network has a green travel plan in place which encourages staff to travel to work using more sustainable means. All four organisations received an environmental au dit from Southwark Council which identified areas where they could save energy a nd save money.
