On Friday 5th June the team at Waterloo Quarter attended Paper Round and Carbon Smart’s 5th annual event at London Zoo. A variety of businesses that share green ambitions came together to receive awards for their commitment to environmental business practice in an event at the Australian outback enclosure.
Waterloo Quarter received an Award of Excellence in appreciation of our environmental performance during 2008/2009. Paper Round also made a £50 donation on our behalf to the Trees for Cities charity, who work with local communities on tree-planting and landscaping projects.
Waterloo Quarter work with Paper Round to provide the businesses in the BID area a free recycling scheme of mixed paper, cardboard, cans and plastic bottles.
