Tour of Britain

The final stage of the 2009 Tour of Britain cycle race will be held in London on Saturday 19th September after 16 teams of professional cyclists compete to win the 92.5 km challenge that starts in Lincolnshire.
 
The London leg of the tour is a 10-lap circuit taking in iconic landmarks such as Big Ben, the Tower of London and the London Eye. The race is from 14.00 – 16.00 and will be starting and finishing at Whitehall. It is completely free to attend and it is possible to watch the race south of the river at Westminster Bridge.
