Zero-to-Landfill
Waterloo Quarter BID is pleased to announce that it will be launching a Zero-to-Landfill waste management service to its members in September and will be the first Business Improvement District to offer this subsidised service.

On the scheme no residual waste will go to landfill. All waste is incinerated to produce energy. ‘Re-processing 56,000 tonnes of waste can generate energy equal to 30 megawatts – enough to power a town of 20,000 people’. (Sainsburys -Zero Waste to Landfill, IGD)

By joining the Zero-to-Land fill scheme, substantial cost savings can be made for your business. There will be no minimum collection amount and direct cost savings can be made as you will be charged a cost per bag collected. This will make a crucial difference for those who are currently on a banded pricing rate.
