Interhealth celebrates 20th Anniversary

InterHealth, the travel health charity based in Waterloo, celebrated its 20th anniversary last month with the launch of a new and improved website.

Since 20th April 1989, InterHealth has been the first port of call for international aid agencies fighting poverty across the globe. The charity provides holistic healthcare to people committed to making the world a better, fairer and healthier place, including missionaries, relief and development workers, GAP volunteers, expeditioners, UK charity workers and those in Christian Ministry. The team of 15 health professionals look after individual travellers and staff from over 300 organizations and the medical, psychological health, occupational health and travel health services support people in the UK and internationally.

In celebration of these extraordinary achievements the launch of the website has some new and exciting features including:
  • More developed content tailored towards the sectors InterHealth support
  • An updated and more accessible ‘TravelShop’ providing everything from Malarone to sun block
  • A timeline detailing the exciting and eventful history of InterHealth
  • Regular updates on InterHealth and Travel Health news
Janet Quarry of BMS World Mission said “Over the last eight years InterHealth have helped us in so many ways. They have always gone the extra mile in tracking down obscure medical advice and have provided an excellent service in caring for our personnel who frequently comment on the professional and caring service they have been given” adding “Here’s to the next 20 years!”
