Following a highly successful first phase in October 2008, Waterloo Quarter is continuing its programme of intensive steam cleaning and gum removal with a further clean planned for the core streets of Lower Marsh, Waterloo Road (in front of station), The Cut and Blackfriars Road, which is due to start in the week beginning 16th February.
We are also piloting a new pavement pre-treatment on Lower Marsh this weekend. PaveSaver is best described as a scotchguard for stone' and prevents substances like gum, grease and dirt from sticking to the pavement, which keeps them cleaner for longer and makes subsequent cleans more efficient.
