| National Everywoman Conference 2008 |
|
Women in business cannot afford to miss the forthcoming National everywoman Conference, to be held in London on Wednesday 19th November, with the support of NatWest, BT and Business Link.
In its 8th year, this is the premier annual event for female business owners and is a great day for inspiration, skill building and networking. The conference includes workshops and presentations from the country's top women in business, not to mention inspiration for your own enterprise - for example, the customer service essentials, creating and building your brand and employment law in a nutshell.
![]() We've put together a day of business essentials that will give your business an extra boost for growth and is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and share ideas with fellow female entrepreneurs. You can expect a day of intensive masterclass workshops, interactive panel discussions and informal networking opportunities over coffee and lunch – just the right mix of work and play. Also, the dynamic Ruby Wax will be giving an empowering and energising motivational talk, to get you fired up and ready to take on the world.
Keynote speaker - Serial Entrepreneur, Karen Darby
Karen Darby is a serial entrepreneur, and has been a leading figure in the call centre industry for over 25 years. From an inauspicious start (she left school at 16 with one GCSE), Karen embarked on what was to become a classic “rags to riches story”. She set up her first company, The Decisions Group, in 1983 and went on to establish a successful training and consultancy business, Karen Darby Direct. Karen then set up her third venture, SimplySwitch, a telephone and web-based price comparison service. SimplySwitch created over 100 jobs in a deprived area and helped thousands of consumers save over £20m on their household bills. In August 2006 Karen sold SimplySwitch to DMGT (Daily Mail & General Trust) for £22m. We're delighted Ruby Wax is joining us at the National everywoman Conference this year. Enthusiastic, outspoken and always entertaining Ruby is best known for her comedy and celebrity interviews. This year, she will be joining us as our motivational speaker to get you all fired up and ready to take on the world.A list of all our speakers, panellists and workshop leaders can be found online: www.everywoman.com Registration
