| Road closure advanced warning |
|
Works to the carriageway and footway at the junction of Frazier Street and Lower Marsh are planned to start shortly. These relate to the consultation that took place with Lower Marsh businesses in the summer regarding the works that will link in with the opening of a new shop at Lower Marsh. These works will require a temporary closure of Frazier Street for 30 metres, starting at its junction with Lower Marsh. A one-way system will operate in Lower Marsh, with traffic entering at the Baylis Road end and exiting at the Westminster Bridge Road end of the street , similar to when the mains replacement works took place earlier in the year.
The scheme is being delivered as a public-private partnership between a local property developer and Lambeth Council. The works are anticipated to take up to a week from around 10th November. The exact start date is still to be confirmed by Lambeth Council. However, no closure will take place until the works actually start on site.Pedestrian access will not be affected and vehicle access to and egress from properties will be permitted, provided this does not hinder the works.
It is not anticipated that there will be significant disruption to businesses as a result of the works. However, any queries or issues can be raised with Waterloo Quarter on 020 7620 1201 who will raise them with Lambeth Council.
