Brazil comes to The Cut this summer when the Young Vic hosts its community show ‘Festa!' on August 16th.

 

With a cast of 100 local people, aged from 14 – 80, this is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to support the Young Vic's valuable work with the community here in Lambeth and Southwark. Demonstrate your corporate social responsibility credentials by becoming a Partner of the Community Show. In return the Young Vic can give you a personalized ‘Festa!' poster accrediting your support, creative advertising opportunities and acknowledgment on our website.

 

Starting on the street, a carnival of song and dance flows into the Young Vic where the myths, heroes and legends of Brazil come to life. Three artists from Brazil will work with the community cast with workshops over a three week period, combining story, music, dance and puppetry, culminating in Festa! on the 16th August.‘Festa!' will be performed twice on the Young Vic's main stage (to an audience of over 800), and bystanders on the Cut will also be able to enjoy the atmosphere and street performance.
