As many of you will be aware, Thames Water have moved in to Lower Marsh to work on replacing the Victorian water pipes. A meeting was held with key stakeholders, including WQBA businesses back in July 2007 where it was agreed that the works should be carried out in the shortest time possible to ensure minimal disruption to businesses. Since then the programme has changed to allow the works to take place in 100m stretches of the street which could mean a lengthier process. WQBA are communicating with a variety of Lambeth Council officers to ensure that the disruption is kept to a minimum and will feed any news or updates to those affected on a regular basis.
