WQBA launches Charity of the Year
September 2007 saw the launch of WQBA's Charity of the Year at a networking event held at the headquarters of the Children's Country Holidays Fund.

Several BID businesses attended the event which featured an announcement of future joint activities between CCHF and Waterloo Quarter.

Activities scheduled until March 2008:

Pub quiz series
A series of four quizzes at different pubs/bars in the BID area, with local offices/organisations entering teams. A prize will be given to the winning team of the series

Christmas event
CCHF will be involved in WQBA's festive celebrations on the evening of Thursday 6th December on Emma Cons Gardens, raising CCHF's profile and making the most of the fundraising opportunities.

CCHF, currently based in Lower Marsh, organise a range of holidays and respite breaks for children in London and the surrounding area, to help them recognise their potential and increase their self belief and confidence. The charity is keen to build connections with local businesses in Waterloo as a means of spreading the word about their work.
