 We are aware that there have been recent concerns amongst businesses of increases to business rates in the Lambeth borough. We are pleased to tell you that there will be no such increase.
Lambeth Council are unable legally to increase your business rates outside of the annual rise every April in line with inflation.
A rate that has recently changed, however, is the empty rate relief which will no longer involve a 50% reduction of business rates for empty properties. Owners of empty properties from next year will have to pay the full rate.
