The Cut has been reduced to one way traffic, flowing from Waterloo Road to Blackfriars Road, to allow for resurfacing of the carriageway and installation of traffic calming measures. The works to the carriageway are due to be completed by November.
In July a consultation event was held to consult with local businesses and residents about the future management of commercial waste along The Cut. The conclusions of the consultation event are being prepared and will be released shortly.
Work is continuing on the footway on the southern side of The Cut with short delays to trade whilst new paving is laid. All businesses are being informed of when the works are planned to take place, however, if you experience any undue inconvenience as a result of the refurbishment programme, please contact the Scheme Project Manager, Michael Semakula on 020 7299 2828.
