Loncor Homes are planning to redevelop a site on the corner of Baylis Road and Murphy Street into a mixed use building. The building (see image) would contain nine new homes, three floors of office accommodation and a ground floor retail / restaurant space. A drop in session for pre-application consultation was held on Wednesday, October 12th.

The popular London SE1 website has reported that a pelican crossing near The Crown pub in Blackfriars Road will be removed by Transport for London because of “very low demand”.

A Sainsbury’s local store will be opened in The Cut in the former  launderette, Panbros and Southbank Glass and China near Short Street.
