| On Your Marks For The Olympics |
|
Have you sat down to think about the Olympics? Are you confident your staff, stock and perishable deliveries will reach you when London’s transport network is asked to cope with an extra 3 million journeys in a single day? Will your office supplier be able to get to you if you run out of paper for the printer in July? If the answer to any of the above is “no” you need to take some advice – and fast. Waterloo Quarter recently held an Olympics briefing for businesses who are already thinking of how they will operate during the Games. The event at the Union Jack Club saw the businesses meet Transport for London planners to discuss possible issues. Julie Beechey, operations manager at the Old Vic Tunnels, said the breakfast briefing was “very helpful and informative with practical advice on information relating to our business and our location“. A similar event is planned for the future. Email jhill@waterlooquarter.org if you would be interested in attending.
